Gilding the edge of paper is a technique that has been practiced for centuries
and is often used with Bibles, notebooks, and wedding invitations.
This advanced, specialized technique was devised in seventeenth century Europe to impart
an air of luxuriousness, and to keep books from becoming soiled, or damaged by insects.

Bihaku Watanabe has recently launched a range of colorful creations employing
its finishing skills to gild all four edges of IRO JOSHITSU in a wide variety of colors.

This event features these Bihaku Watanabe products, such as memo paper with a magnificent
combination of paper and gilding colors and cards with edges that glisten in a classy way.
The result is a series of multicolored paper and gilding creations that are a visual and tactile treat.
