The paper that we use is made with due consideration to balancing its features, functions and application. The "balance of paper" refers to whether its physical properties, such as density and thickness, weight, transparency and smoothness are balanced or unbalanced. At the 2006 Paper Show, there was a strong emphasis on the physical properties of paper based on the theme "UNBALANCE/BALANCE." It was an exhibition of renewed recognition and new discoveries relating to paper, with examples of successful paper products in actual use all around us on the 1st floor, and new products displayed alongside the names of their proposing companies on the 3rd floor. Mr. Kan Akita, a prominent art director, was the organizer of the event.
