TAKEO PAPER SHOW 2007

We look into the functions and new value of “Fine Paper”-paper that appeals to our senses.
We want you to discover the design beauty embodied in paper that possesses tangible individuality.
We started giving the Takeo Paper Shows storyline themes in 2006 as a four-year plan in the lead up
to the company's 110th anniversary in 2009.
Following the theme in 2006, “The Physics of Paper -The Essence and Functions of Paper",
the 2007 Paper Show presents Takeo Paper:
"Fine Paper"as the theme for the second year that observes the"Psychology of Paper".

FINE PAPERS, ARTISTS and SHOPS Top artists from Japan and around the world took 26 types of Takeo "Fine Paper" from A to Z to use as materials for creating actual work that expresses the uniqueness and functionality of each paper in its design, instead of treating them as mere canvasses. These works are produced not as artworks or proposals for display, but as limited-edition products made in collaboration with stores and cafes in the surrounding Marunouchi area and in the Marunouchi Building, the venue of the Show. They will be distributed at each store only during the three days of the event. We will present the possibilities of quality communication - of making direct contact with new expressions of paper that possesses various characteristics.
