  • [Aoyama MIHONCHO] Showcase "AOYAMA CREATORS STOCK 13: HIDETO YAGI PRESENTS ART BY HAND EXHIBITION VOL.4"

Hideto Yagi features in the 13th installment of our series of solo exhibits of
graphic designers for Aoyama MIHONCHO's showcase.

Showcase "AOYAMA CREATORS STOCK 13: HIDETO YAGI PRESENTS ART BY HAND EXHIBITION VOL.4"

November 22th, 2018 (Thu.) – December 28th (Fri.)
Open hours: 11:00-19:00
Except: Saturdays, Sundays, and official holidays

This exhibition features the body of works from Hideto Yagi’s first solo exhibition
in New York in March 2018, plus new works.
The theme is “Piled up messages.”
Yagi uses paper and styrene board to create three-dimensional expressions of messages
from his everyday life that he finds precious or wants to communicate.
He produces the three-dimensional forms by piling up layer after layer,
taking his inspiration directly from the message and disregarding conventional typefaces and designs.
Sculpted shapes, which at first glance seem like ancient ruins,
conceal the messages that Yagi wants to convey. Each has its own message to be deciphered.
