  • Opening of TAKEO Poster Collection Gallery
    (Tama Art University Art-Theque)

The TAKEO Poster Collection Gallery will open October 10, 2015 at Tama Art University Art-Theque,
a new addition to Tama Art University's Hachioji Campus.

The TAKEO Poster Collection began in 1997, when TAKEO acquired
the Reinhold-Brown Gallery New York Poster Collection as part of its centennial project.
The Collection is entrusted to Tama Art University, where TAKEO conducts joint research with
the university’s Department of Graphic Design.
Research has been conducted on the collection since 1998.

As part of the 80th anniversary of Tama Art University, Tama Art University Art-Theque has been constructed
to hold the university's archives.
One room of the new facility is devoted to the TAKEO Poster Collection Gallery,
and will play a vital role in exhibitions and further research into the poster collection.

In celebration of the completion of this new facility, about 20 posters from different periods,
representing the development of the poster, have been selected from the TAKEO Poster Collection
and are exhibited in the TAKEO Poster Collection Gallery.
Exhibition period: 10:00-17:00 October 10th (Sat.) to 28th (Wed.), 2015 *Until 19:00 on Oct. 10th only. Closed Sundays
Entrance fee: Free
