Le typographe is a letterpress printing workshop in Brussels, Belgium, established in 2009 by Cedric CHAUVELOT.
Stationery that takes advantage of the feel of fine paper, and exhibits both design sense and functionality
is painstakingly manufactured by hand, item by item, with all processes performed by craftsmen and craftswomen.
This approach has been consistently followed ever since the business was established.
The serene coloring, using unique color combinations comes from a design perspective that is both delicate and organic.
Rigorously selected European paper and the irregular surface that is a telltale mark
of letterpress printing appeal to the touch as well as to the eye.
This exhibition introduces scenes from the manufacturing process, combined
with presentation and sale of this distinctive stationery with outstanding attention to fine detail.
This exhibition is a rare opportunity to touch and examine the many different types of
handmade stationery produced from le typographe’s workshop in Brussels.

Born in France, 1980. Graduated from the Académie royale des beaux-arts de Bruxelles.
Established le typographe in Brussels in 2009.
In addition to designing stationery, Chauvelot is a talented display designer,
producing display spaces in Brussels and Paris.
