"Book Jacket: Senses" is a bi-monthly series made possible
through collaborations with creators using fine paper.
Each issue in this popular project includes a book jacket/cover
made with a different type of fine paper.
Shun Sasaki of AYOND has been chosen for the June 2017 issue.
The paper used is JELARD GA.
The title of the work is “paint a wall.”
Likening the texture of JELARD GA to that of a wall, Sasaki produces
the visual effect of white paint dripping down a wall.
The multi-layered design, employing two plates each for UV offset white and
white foil stamping, gives the image a three-dimensional appearance.
