TAKEO established a task force to prepare for the possible spread of novel
coronavirus (COVID-19) on March 2, 2020, and has since implemented measures
to prevent infection. Now that the government has declared a state of emergency,
the company is taking the actions listed below. These actions aim to reduce the risk
of COVID-19 infection within the company and the community, and to ensure the safety
of employees working at company offices, showrooms, and other locations.

 

1. Telecommuting

 

The company has shifted to a telecommuting-based work system,
effective immediately. Only the minimum number of staff required for
essential business will work at company locations.

 

 

2. Avoiding closed spaces, crowded places, and close contact

 

To prevent COVID-19 infection at the company and in society in general,
all staff are avoiding closed spaces with poor ventilation, places crowded with people,
and conversations at close quarters. Visits to customer premises are restricted,
and we are also limiting some forms of contact with customers who visit TAKEO locations.

 

 

3. Shortened business hours and suspension of operations

 

Where appropriate, we are shortening business hours or suspending operations
at TAKEO locations.

 

 

4. Prompt reporting of infections to authorities

 

A situation has emerged in which there may be rapid and nationwide spread of infections.
TAKEO will notify local public health centers promptly of any COVID-19 infections found
among employees, and take appropriate action as instructed. Public announcements will also be made.

 

 

During this state of emergency, TAKEO will attempt to meet client needs as far as is possible
within the constraints of the situation. We apologize for any inconvenience that may arise
