MERMAID has been a popular fine paper for many years. Possessing a wavelike feltmark that recalls
the gentle waves of a sea where mermaids live, MERMAID was the first feltmarked fine paper
produced by machine in Japan, launched in 1956 as MERMAID RIPPLE.

In autumn 2019, MERMAID’s lineup of colors and specifications will be updated.
With this update, we aim to better fulfill the needs of customers with a modern
lineup of colors that suits the feltmarked paper, including attractive new colors
and a more convenient selection of weights.
